Parkside Paint & Palette Group 12th June 2007

Thank you to everyone for making Liz & myself so welcome

Here is the demonstration painting as it was when I left you:

I spent approximately 45 minutes finishing it, adding the following:

I glazed further mixes of Ultramarine Blue & Raw Sienna on to the background tree to create form & atmosphere.

Ultramarine Blue & a touch of Raw Umber were glazed over the cottages to the left to add form.

I added a wash of Aureolin & Cerulean Blue to the grassy bank and further 'darks' to and around the bridge & car.

The windbreaks were developed by using delicate washes of Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Permanent Rose & Lemon Yellow in varying strengths.

Cobalt Blue, Permanent Magenta & Raw Sienna washes were used to develop the figures.

After adding texture to the beach, I cropped the bottom of the painting by 1.5" to create a better balance.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
